Was it worth it? Book illustration project on adoption of a dog

This is my personal illustration project that explores the moments before saying goodbye to a dog.

In my story the main character adopts an older mixed breed dog from the shelter. The owner recalls the day of the adoption and then simple, quiet moments from their time together. She comes back to reality in the last pages.

Technique: ink, ink pen

For this project I told a story with two main characters, a lily and a deer, using different themes such as Death, Symbiosis and Hunting. This format is called a silent book. I created a black and yellow world where illustrations speak instead of words.
